Eight seconds, beat by beat

The cut is the moment everyone copies. Here is who does what, so you know which photo goes where.

  1. 0:00

On the left, the keyboard player leans over the mini keyboard and plays the riff.

  2. 0:01

On the right, the partner points at the laptop, explaining.

  3. 0:03

An arm shoots up: one finger to the sky.

  4. 0:04

Both lean back in while the riff carries on.

  5. 0:07

A last point and a grin at the partner.

Pay for the video, not a plan

Most AI video apps make you sign up and buy a credit pack before you see anything. Here it is one price for one video.

Photos that come out right

The AI copies the face, hair and clothes it can see. Give it a clear look at each person.

Works well

  • One person, facing the camera
  • Face clearly visible, in good light
  • Waist up or more, so the outfit carries over
  • A recent photo without heavy filters

Works poorly

  • Group photos
  • Sunglasses, masks or hands over the face
  • Tiny faces in wide shots
  • Photos of public figures or anyone who hasn't agreed

Where the duet comes from

The scene is a sketch from Jamel Debbouze's 2010 DVD Made in Jamel. In a bright white studio, Jamel, in a beige cardigan at a laptop, "teaches" Stromae how to make Alors on danse. It looks improvised, but it was written as a parody, not a real making-of.

In October 2026 the sketch came back as an AI trend: people swap themselves, friends and famous faces into the two roles and post the result on TikTok and X.

This page is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with Stromae, Jamel Debbouze or their labels.

Questions

What is the Alors on Danse AI trend?

It is a short video that puts two people into a famous white-studio sketch with Stromae and Jamel Debbouze: one plays a tiny keyboard, the other points and directs from behind a laptop. Upload two photos and this page makes that video with your faces.

Do I need an account?

No. Add two photos, pay once and the video starts automatically. Keep the result link to come back to it; it is also emailed to the address you pay with. If you already have Renoir credits, sign in to use them instead.

How much does it cost?

$4.99 for one video, paid once, with no subscription. Signed-in users can use 80 credits instead. If the video cannot be made, your payment or credits are returned automatically.

Does the video include the song?

Yes. The video keeps the sound of the original sketch. Because it is commercial music, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube may limit or mute it, as with any clip that uses a song; you can also replace the sound from the app's music library when you post.

Which photo goes on which side?

Photo 1 is for the keyboard player on the left, photo 2 for the partner at the laptop on the right. The AI places each person on the side of the original performer they look more like, so the two can swap sides. Either way, both of you end up in the duet.

What photos work best?

One person per photo, facing the camera, with the face clearly visible in good light. Waist-up photos work best, because the video keeps the clothes it can see. Avoid sunglasses, masks, group photos and tiny faces.

How long does it take?

Usually 3 to 6 minutes. You can leave the page and come back with your result link.

What happens if the video fails?

If the video cannot be made, the payment goes back to your card automatically. Your bank may take a few days to show the refund.

What do you do with my photos?

They are used only for your video: sent to the video model after payment and deleted once it is ready. The finished video is kept for 7 days so you can download it.

Can I use a photo of a celebrity?

No. Only use photos of yourself or of adults who have agreed. Do not use photos of public figures, and label the video as AI-generated when you post it.
